The Craft of Writing Poetry That Connects

Reflections on finding universal human truths through concise, rhythmic verse and raw emotional honesty.

Published on by J. Johnson

Poetry is often misunderstood as an academic exercise in cryptic language. For me, poetry is the most direct form of human communication we possess.

When writing 'Sometimes Love is blind to see', I wanted to strip away artificial sentimentality. Love is not a clean equation; it is chemical, unpredictable, and fiercely loyal.

To connect with a reader, every word must earn its position on the page. If a line does not ring true in your own chest, it will never resonate in theirs.
